Thats good to know, but if I'm only going to invest $100-200/month 5 to 10% commission would kill me.

with Computershare it's all company paid (for COP and XOM).


ETA: Halliburton anyone? approaching 52 week low.

I have a work 401k through Fidelity so I decided to open up an individual account in order to have everything in 1 place. I have a few thousand $$$ ready to jump into the market and I will likely just in on some of these oil companies, specifically COP. Do dividends automatically re-invest or are they added as cash in the portfolio? I have no clue as I've never owned individual stocks.

COP down another 2.75% today. Another couple percentage points and we will be at $65
