I was in Honors college for like the first year or maybe 3 semesters if I recall. I had actually completely forgot I was in honors college until this thread reminded me that it existed. So yea, didnt do much for me.

I was in the honors college mainly for the priority scheduling and dropped it junior year when I had enough hours to be considered a senior for scheduling.
Took some interesting honors classes (history of standup comedy and honors 2000 with Babcock who is awesome stand out) and met some cool people through it.
I just didn't feel like adding more to my course load by junior year in addition to trying to graduate on time after switching to engineering. And by then I was able to schedule first anyway.

I wish i did more shite like this in undergrad, unfortunately i wasn't too involved

It's definitely something cool to start out with and looks good on your resume if you complete it. If your family member ends up stressing over it or just doesn't like it, it's no big deal to drop.

Yeah, we cleaned that sink a lot.
I was West Laville, it was still mixed then like half honors/non honors.
East Laville was all honors and was like a church.

It let me schedule first and live in East Laville.
I did it for 2 years. Took HNRS 2000 and the honors versions of chemistry.

I was there the last 2 years before it was renovated. It was no church, believe me.

No problem. I liked the faculty in the honors college, and the round table class discussions were interesting. If I had more time, I think I would have stuck with it. It was difficult to juggle that along with engineering and sorority life, but I have nothing but good things to say about it. The faculty is very helpful and accommodating.
And like I said, dat scheduling

Yea. It was definitely worth it the first year just for this. But it seemed pointless trying to juggle honors requirements while trying to get through engineering. I think you have to write like a 40 page thesis paper or something as well. No thanks.

Yep, pretty much my thought process as well.
