Favre got one vote that year. Brees got 7.5 votes. Manning had 39.5 votes. It was not very close. Philip Rivers even got 2 votes that year.

I am a huge Manning fanboy, but Brees and Favre were the two best qbs that year. That was the best season of their respectively amazing careers.
