One of my favorite shows ever, but man sometimes they'll really get you with one of their emotional episodes in the middle of the afternoon when you're just looking for some nostalgic chuckles.

Pretty much any episode where Fry is oscillating between flashbacks and the present is going to knock you right on your sentimental arse.

And then of course there's the saddest cartoon episode of all-time, Jurassic Bark.

All in all that's what I love about the show and it's a big part of what made it so great. It just sneaks up on you sometimes.

Not just the saddest cartoon but one of the saddest episodes of television of all-time.

ETA: Luck of the Fryish is probably my favorite Futurama episode. So many feels.

The series finale was pretty good for that also.

Yeah I love when comedies can randomly bust out a serious episode / scene. (Scrubs was good at this also)

The one with his mother was touching.

All those mentioned above are great episodes.

I've always been partial to Parasites Lost and The Sting myself.

Which is the one where Leela ends up marrying an older Fry that no one knew was an older Fry?

Leslie Knope is too damn thoughtful. Her interactions with Ron have caused me to tear up before.
