I don't have any, but I'm considering it. I have an old knob-style dimmer in the living room. I recently put CFLs on it, and that hasn't worked out so well. Horrible buzzing noise at the switch. Don't care so much about them not being dimmable, but the buzzing sucks. I wonder if LEDs would fix that. Don't care about the "smart" part of it either. House is too old to mess with automation.

both CREE and GE are LED bulbs.
i like the CREE a bit better; you can buy a 5-pack for like $40 so that makes them a little more cost effective plus the 60 and 100 watt bulbs are dimmable which is nice and they really have the most 'natural' yellow light i've seen that mimics the good old incadescent.
however that was 6 months ago
so there's probably something newer & better by now. the GE 'gimmick' is the ability to use your phone to turn the bulbs off but you need an additional $20 or so brain (they're running a special right now).
i dont see the point of that extra money for remotely controlled bulbs.
and i freaking hate CFLs. i swear to god not a single CFL bulb i've bought has lasted longer than an incadescent and like you pointed out...DAT BUZZING

You have to get the CFL dimmable bulbs to get rid of the buzz. i have Led bulbs in the lights over my island , which are on a dimmer, and they buzz.
