How would it limit playcalling? he's been on the sidelines calling plays in the NFL for years

i have no idea. the only thing i can think of is Cam has all of his assistants in the booth with him so maybe thats why. only thing i can think of.

I believe cam calls the plays. But there is a difference in calling the plays and being given full control of the offense. I don't think he has full control. Yes I know the head coach will always make suggestions and rightfully so but I think CC is instructed on what CLM wants and rarely gets to implement his gameplan.

I want to believe Cam is calling them, but too much of the plays look like Miles. Can we just take the headset from Miles so I'll feel better?

I believe Cam is calling the shots within the limits and scheme of a Miles' mandated offense.

the UGA game was the 5th game of the season....yet we still ended up with a 3000 yard passer and 2 1000 yard receivers. add on a 1000 yard RB to boot

So we're to believe that because a few turds on here say it then it's got to be true? Does anyone believe the Cam would let someone pass off their calls as his? The guy makes good money and is respected. No way he just pretends to be the OC.

we had a 5th year Qb that should have been developed 2 years earlier and wasn't but I digress.

What exactly were the records? was it all time passing? all time scoring? all time total offense?

or was it the first time an offense had a 3,000yd passer and 2 1,000 yd receivers? i really don't know what the records are

One of the "experts" on Tiger Talk yesterday (I think Derek Ponamski?) said that Les questioned the McGee run on 4th down, stating that he saw him mouth "We should be passing". He also said that this was all Cam's offense.
Does anyone believe this??
i saw him say that.

If Cam had 100% control of the offense we wouldn't be trying to pound the ball with two TE all game.

At least come out with 4 WR spread end to end with one running back, then run out of that formation.

I 100% believe that this is Cams offense. An offense that is predicated on medium and long passing game set up by a power running attack. It is a decent offense for the pro game where you can keep a core set of skill players, it is not a plug and go offense suited for the college game.

I agree completely. It gravitated towards the more conservative end of things IIRC. More runs on first, more obvious run formations. We still broke records because we had four players with good NFL talent at the important skill positions.

He actually said it would limit his ability to see the whole field and plays develope which would limit his ability to call the right plays. But keep putting words in Les's mouth to help your cause.

"I believe the OC for LSU calls the plays within the game plan agreed upon with the HC."

Bingo. And Les probably has the same play sheet from his days at Okie State.

Has Cam done that in the past, at SD, Balt, Miami?
