My dad has '97 with the 7.3, the statement about the truck falling apart around the engine is true. Has replaced the hood, lost the tailgate somewhere going down the road, the doors don't stay closed, the drivers window won't roll down, and the steering wheel is almost worn in two at one place, but that 7.3.
