Come on man. Cranston was barely entertaining and they cut him out quick. Kickass Kid was as boring as toast. If they had a Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw in the movie with fully formed characters, then you could get away with less Godzilla. But what they gave us was a boring backstory lightly seasoned with the occasional Godzilla sighting.

I'll admit it was a bit of a tease to only see the lead-up to the fights and the camera pan away right before it went down.

That tail whip though son! lol

my main issue was that there was a lot of action with the muto's but not godzilla. i would have been ok with limited godzilla action if the story was better, or maybe if it was ghidorah or rodan that we saw instead.

i really really want a direct remake of the 1954 story/movie, with zero campiness and a very dark, serious tone.
