Realistically we need a G (no G goes top 10),

Mike Ditka disagrees with this comment.

I think a Top 8ish pick is a little bit of an overreaction... Sure, we've been playing like a bottom 10 team, but it's a long season. I haven't given up hope just yet. Finishing the season 10-2 is feasible, imo.

I mean shite, Carolina finished 11-1 after starting 1-3.

Come on guys; this is a good football team.

Time to move pas colston and make a great young trio of Stills Cooks and Amari Cooper?

CBS sports mock draft

This one has us taking Amari at #13.

At first thought, I'd say we get a stud CB but I'm not sure there's one in this draft. I don't know much about Marcus Peters at Washington but he's the highest CB pick in this mock draft.

I would really really really like to see a formation of Morgan Stills Cooks JG and a RB not named Cadet!

Just once coach?

CB > DT > OG > C > ILB > WR (JG alleviates this a bit) > OLB > K

As of right now, I'd move OG and DT down on that, and move ILB and OLB up. Lelito should be ready by next season to take over at C. WR, maybe, but with Jimmy, Stills, and Cooks, I don't think it's a bigger need than OLB or K. If Fortt steps up and stays healthy, he could lessen the need at OLB.

If we get good value at OG early, then fine, but we could certainly make due with the overpaid OGs we have now for another season. I'd say:

CB>ILB>OLB>K>OG>DT>WR

Fortt and Lotig really are the missing links to this team

mock draft

I refuse to look at a 2015 mock draft 1 month into the 2014 season. That's ridiculous that some blogger somewhere actually wasted their time making that.

1. Cedric Ogbuehi T/G/C Texas A&M

You don't wanna spend a top 10 pick on a G? That's fine, he can play any position on the entire line. Let him play at Guard until Strief moves on and then kick him over to Tackle if need be.

2. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu CB Oregon

While I'm not downing the selection of Stanley Jean-Baptiste, it's clear we need major help all over the CB position. Keenan Lewis has regressed, I'll be surprised if Patrick Robinson is even on the roster next year and Baptiste won't be ready by next season. Ekpre-Olomu is the best corner in the draft and it's not even close (at least right now).

3. Vic Beasley LB Clemson

A lot of mocks had Beasley falling to the Saints last year until he decided to return to school. While I am usually a bit reserved about Clemson pass rushers (Da'Quan Bowers, Ricky Sapp) Beasley looks like just the kind of beast we need running down QB's

I will only look 3 years in the future. 2017 is fine. anything before or after that is ridiculous.

Shaq Thompson would be my guy.

Explosive athlete has played RB, LB, and DB which are all positions of need of need for us.

Not the biggest guy but maybe could add some weight.

Would be ideal at ILB next to Lofton.

Started at nickle as a true freshman and played extremely well.

Rob Ryan could move him all over the field.
