Loading is a myth, your body cannot absorb more than like 5g a day so basically you should be taking 5g a day.
Creatine loading is a myth along with more creatine myths.
I think I had actually read that somewhere as well, but I've seen competing theories on it. Regardless, creatine seems to help a lot of people add muscle mass.
But, from the article you linked:
quote:
Once again, research is proving that less creatine is needed to deliver results. The research cited above also suggests that creatine loading may be nothing more than a waste. Should you load? In most cases, probably not. If you're an elite athlete, a professional bodybuilder or competitive powerlifter, you may want to consider loading, just in case. For the rest of us, 5g is all it takes.
quote:
Creatine is useful for water retention in the muscles, helping with endurance some, and pushing out a few more reps but it's not the end all be all.
Again from the article you linked:
quote:
MYTH CREATINE CAUSES EXCESSIVE WATER RETENTION
Truth: More bullshite. A recent double-blind, placebo-controlled study found that, after three months of creatine use, test subjects showed no significant increase in body water.
And for theBoo and his beef:
quote:
MYTH YOU CAN GET ENOUGH CREATINE FROM YOUR DIET
Truth: The average person gets only about 1g of creatine per day from his diet. When you cook your meals, you also destroy a good part of the creatine found in foods such as beef, cod, salmon, and herring.

Huh, guess I need to read my articles closer
. It does not cause water retention. I guess the bloated look is not water then.
As for preworkout, the benefit I get is an enormous boost in energy. No matter how tired I am, I am ready to go for hours when I take a preworkout and when I am normal, it makes me want to run through a wall. They aren't for everyone though because of the tingling feeling under your skin. Some people feel like tearing their skin off because they can't stand it. I don't mind it and once I start lifting, it goes away.

Well aren't you just full of little nuggets of contradicted study results.
