Meh, in a world where taking federal funds in an organization comes with a myriad of strings attached as to what your organization can do, it's a valid point.

But you don't have to see it that way. I'm cool with that.

Harvard is not using federal funds to pay for this person's tuition, so I'm not sure how thats even relevant.

Flagship state universities accept students like Tyrann Mathieu, Morris Claiborne, Vince Young, and Jameis Winston while people with much better ACT/SAT scores are rejected.

Your position on this statement?
quote:

I bet you applaud when a private bakery is forced by the government to bake a cake for a LGBT couple that it previously turned away

I believe the problem with that case was that the bakery had no problem with producing a product until they found out the event it was going to be used in. You can't force labor or a business to do something it objects to doing, but the "something" wasn't the problem here, it was the customer.

Frankly, the real argument would be based on whether labor (which is specific to this bakery case) can be forced if the bakery was so small that the owner was the sole baker. But it doesn't appear to be an issue in this case.

I really don't know enough about what the decision was based on or how it was decided to "applaud", but I generally agree with the decision.

Does that answer your question?
