Predict: Will Aaron Rodgers Ever Win Another Super Bowl?

I say no.
He's overrated IMO (as the responses to this post will probably illustrate). That's not to say he's not good - he is. But the people - and there are many - who say he's the best QB in the league are delusional. I'll go on record saying he has won his one and only Super Bowl.

With the way QBs can play at a high level past early 30s, yes. He has ar least another 6 year window or so

Nice logic. I'm not wrong and if you disagree with me it proves my point.

QB Rating since 2008, his first year as a starter...
2008: 93.8 - 6th
2009: 103.2 - 4th
2010: 101.2 - 3rd (Superbowl win)
2011: 122.5 - 1st (45 TDs, 6 INTs)
2012: 108.0 - 1st (39 TDs, 8 INTs)
2013 until injury: 104.9 - 5th
A little blurb from Wikipedia...

Rodgers is the NFL's all-time career leader in passer rating during the regular season with a rating of 104.9 and second all-time in the postseason with a rating of 103.1 (among passers with at least 1,500 and 150 pass attempts, respectively). He currently is the only quarterback to have a career passer rating of over 100.0 in the regular season as well as having the highest touchdown to interception ratio in NFL history. He also holds the league's lowest career passing interception percentage for quarterbacks during the regular season at 1.8 percent and the single-season passer rating record of 122.5.

If I can pick any quarterback to play this season with, I'm taking Rodgers second behind Peyton.

Nah.. Hes good. His Super Bowl run and then the first 14 games of the 2011 season is some of the best QB play in NFL history.

Rodgers passer rating is artifically elevated by the fact that he takes so many sacks. Other QB's like Manning and Brees get rid of the ball, which leads to more interceptions and a lower TD:INT ratio. But is also leads to a higher 3rd down conversion percentage, a far, far lower sack percentage, and ultimately more wins because you have to take chances in the NFL to succeed. It is telling that Rodgers QBR rating does not reflect his dominance in the passer rating. Of the top 10 QBR ratings for 2006-2013, Manning has 6 of the top 10, Brady has 2, Brees has 1, and Rodgers has 1. Rodgers has only led the league in QBR one time since taking over, and that was the year he won the MVP in 2011 (the highest rated QBR quarterback has won the MVP every year since 2007 except when utterly robbed by a running back in 2012). Manning's sack rate is half that of Rodgers. You have to look at more advanced metrics that the very flawed passer rating metric. If you do not like ESPN's QBR, there are other advanced metrics such as from pro football focus that also back up what I am saying.

It is difficult to predict how teams will manage the salary cap going forward, and that will have a huge impact on the competitiveness of teams. There is only so much money you can have tied up in a QB and fill the roster without some glaring weakness. It will take a lot of luck, or skill, in filling roster spots with players on their first contracts for teams to win Super Bowls with high priced QBs. It is more likely that future Super Bowl winners will be teams with good QBs in their first contracts who haven't sucked up too much cap space.
I have hard time imagining that Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning will win another Super Bowl. Their teams would need to plug weaknesses with draft choices to have a chance since doing it via free agency is pretty much impossible financially. The alternative is to tear down and rebuild, but I can't see their teams' managements having the patience to go that route given the remaining time in their respective careers.

It's what kills them every year, that and no consistent running game.
Also, the 49ers seem to be the GB achilles heel.

I think so. I think he ends up with 2 more before he is done.

Not unless GB's defense substantially improves

Rodgers is plenty good enough to win Super Bowls.
It all comes down to how good the rest of the team is.
He may never win another Super Bowl, but it won't be because of him.

quote:For those keeping track at home, he just passed 25,000 passing yards for his career today. The fourth fastest in NFL history behind Peyton Manning, Kurt Warner and Dan Marino.
