There was an article in The Sporting News, back when he was in his second yr at ND ...still doing well at the time...and several HC's in that part of the country were quoted, off the record, as saying Weis was universally despised by all that ran across him on the recruiting trails & rubber chicken banquets. "Extremely arrogant" and "living off his Super Bowl rings with the Patriots" were 2 of the most commonly heard negatives about him.

If I were Charlie Weis I would just eat Kansas. The whole school.

Leavitt former usf coach.

Would be a solid hire if they can get over his baggage.

I can't stand these former Patriot assistants -- Mangini, Weis, McDaniels, O'Brien, etc -- who act like arrogant morons when they go elsewhere, as if they were almost entirely responsible for New England's success A DECADE AGO. Yeah, not like they have one of the greatest QBs and HCs of all time or anything.

I've read that O'Brien is essentially doing the same thing in Houston, going around barking at players "I know how to win!" Yeah, congrats on being an assistant for the Patriots in an era where they won approximately zero Super Bowls.
