I sincerely hope you never have to deal with the Memphis police. One of the most frustrating experiences of my life. Long story short:

The perps tried to write a check at a Target in Memphis with my name on it after I cancelled the account. Target sends me a letter notifying me that I owed them money. Called target and they said they could retrieve tapes down to the second at the precise register but could only do so if an officer requested. I told my investigating officer this and stayed on him about it. He, however, dropped the ball and waited to long to call them. They "clean" the tapes every 30 days and the footage was lost.

That coupled with the complete lackadaisical approach taken by everyone I talked to there, has skewed my opinion of cops in general but primarily the ones in that city.

I have no beef whatsoever with the locals though. I play golf regularly with the ex chief here. Good dude.
