This is not something to celebrate on the fraternity side. DKE has said they will remove their chapter should this happen, so we'll see where it goes from here. Thankfully, it's a small, meaningless university, but this sets a scary precedent for any rogue university administrator who wants to make a legacy for themselves. Co-ed fraternities are not fraternities, they are clubs. Also, the women who want to join a co-ed fraternity are not the same women you want to bring home.

The university can want what it wants, but my guess is the national chapter is just going to pull the charter.

I find it interesting that decisions like this are being made, and at the same time, people are talking about all these sexual assaults on campus. How do the two tie together?

I seriously doubt they said this or that national pulls their charter. Welseyan is one of their oldest chapters.
