With all the additions they have had, they could've demolished the whole thing and started over because the lower bowl needs to be gutted and replaced

Now, if yall don't want to give serious responses, stay out of my thread. Wouldn't a Johnnys pizza, or a bar b que place be great. That way when we didn't score every play, or if we fell behind, we would have something to do with our time. And a wifi café.

now we are getting somewhere. Lots of people want to bring their kids too, so an arcade would be nice down there. With no big long tiring climb for the little knotheads.

everyone loves cell coverage and wifi, But if we did make it smaller where would Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney fit all those people to watch their concerts.

Parking and traffic is better for those guys.

I was more going for family style entertainment, good wholesome stuff. A "we don't like being told to suck a felines penis" zone

You would have to tear it down to make the student section hold 35,000 alone. They would all come and all stay 4 quarters.

good point, but we may not need to rely on the students if we gave people some things to do while they were at the game.

A new stadium could lead to better coaching and player execution.

Parts of the lower bowl at LSU are nearly 100 years old. The newest parts of it are are at least 60 years old. The ramps are narrow, poorly lit and the concession and bathroom spaces are inadequate. Structural problems will force the lower bowl to be replaced in the next 20 or 30 years or so.

The addition of the new south end zone will make that job complicated and expensive, however. Access through the north end zone will hampered by the PMAC and protected 90-year old live oaks. I doubt it can be done between seasons. LSU should have replaced the lower bowl prior to the expansion.

Joe Dean did a study once about enclosing both endzones into a continuous upper deck. They discovered that it would be far cheaper and easier to go out to River Road and build a modern new 100,000-seat Tiger Stadium. It seems this was disregarded, by the succeeding ADs, but the fact that remains is there are 65,000 surcharge paying ticket holders in the lower bowl and many are not happy with the amenities the stadium offers, and they are staying in their RVs in increasing numbers or are leaving after a half of football.

Nostalgia for Tiger Stadium is great, but the lower bowl is going to present real problems in the near future.
