Only one that surprises me is Michigan. Mostly that it's above some other top schools. I would have guessed it in the bottom few

difference between #4 and #20 is 10 billionaires. i think once you get outside the top 4-7, its not really an indication of anything.
really i dont think the list is an indication of anything that might separate the schools that are on the list

A lot of the upper crust from the northeast used to go to college in the midwest.
Cal (Berkeley) is awesome for a public school.
