Throwing it deeps against prevent is prolly the hardest throw to make. People that say that in regards to the Harris throws are idiots that assume everything is easier in prevent.

The title of this thread, if it were to make the most sense, would be:
"Harris did it vs. a shitty pass defense"
Which he did. But Miles' playcalling demands and Jennings' limitations prevented the exploitation of MSU's biggest weakness from happening until it was too late.

Who completes passes over the top of a prevent D? 
Anyways the offense sure did look like a Cam Cameron offense when Harris was in. Multiple vertical completions, check down to the RB coming out of the backfield. That pass to Dural on what looked like a deep comeback between 2 DBs playing zone.
I might be the only LSU fan on the planet whose excitement for the future of the skill players on offense (Harris, Dupre, Fournette, Williams) overshadowed the loss to Miss St.

He was 6/9. 2 underneath throws to Darrel Williams. 1 underneath throw to Quinn. Then he threw the long jump-ball to Dupre for the touchdown. The 25-yarder to Dural (very impressive throw). The 30ish harder to Dupre for 6 (also on the money).

that is the cam cameron offense. we ran 2 WR formations last year to have extra protection for mett.

They were not in a prevent. It's was their first team D in. The only time they were in prevent was the last series.

My question aside from growing pains that come with inexperience would be, can his 6'3" 180lb frame hold up against SEC DLines pouncing on it? Jennings took some shots that I question B Harris could take...

Look where he threw it from. That's a 30 yard out from the middle of the field that he made look like a bubble screen

Everyone knows 1st string defenses aren't allowed to play prevent.

If you can't acknowledge that Harris didn't face the same defense that Jennings did, then you aren't being honest.
The argument is that he excelled with his opportunity...and Jennings certainly couldn't have done the same Saturday night.

The fact is that Harris did it. Jennings was missing open receivers badly. They should've yanked him sooner IMO.

Hey, you guys remember when the 2002 team, coached by someone other than Les Miles, managed to lose a game against Arkansas by switching to the prevent at the end?
Prevent defenses don't work sometimes, and it definitely was way different than what Jennings had been seeing all game.
