Does the "... I'm From Louisiana" Song Alienate Out of State Recruits?

Let me preface this by saying, I hate piped in music, except for this song. It gets our players and the crowd going before a big kickoff.

I just wonder if recruits from out of state at the game hear it and think that we favor in state recruits and people only from LA. I know we recruited mainly in state guys back in the day, but now we recruit Texas, Alabama, Florida and even the mid-west on occasion.

Thoughts?

No.

You play for LSU and you are from Louisiana.

It's a selling point that being a part of Louisiana i something to be celebrated.

Jennings is just as much from Louisiana as Fournette.

We had the #2 recruiting class in the country in 2014 and we were playing that song throughout 2013.

What do you think? Or were you not thinking when you made this stupid thread.

You assume that they realize the song is not about 'Pop Goes the Weezal'

The "song" if you are willing to call that music is stupid.

Who it alienates are the people donating the most money to the program and paying the golden goose. I sat in Stadium Club Saturday and every time that and that God-awful 'Turn Down for What' were played, the only people I saw bobbing and moving to it were the teens/early college kids of the Stadium Club seatholders. Both of those are horrible, and I like some rap/hip hop music. But if we are doing it to keep recruits entertained, play them....ONCE. At least "All I do is Win" was a better song that the whole stadium could do a simplistic dance to.

You can't even understand what they are saying even though they play it over and over so I wouldn't worry.

No, it doesnt alienate the out-of-state recruits.

Yes, it does make several of us in the stands want to puke. Geez, I hate that song.
