Perhaps that was my point. I see us having about as much chance of going 0-8 as 10-2 (both highly, highly unlikly). Scrub teams like Arky last year, Auburn in 2012, Ole Miss every year, etc. rise up and give us hell. You don't think we'll have a good showing in one of the 7 remainin SEC games on the schedule? We have Kentucky on the schedule this year.

When people sarcastically talk about the decline, I think this is the piece that's missing. No one is suggesting that we're about to become a dumpster fire of a program, but not too long ago it seemed as though we were mostly worried about Auburn, though Arky and Ole Miss would occassionally rise up and give us hell. Then Saban resurrected Bama, Auburn has generally stayed good, Ole Miss is coming along, Miss State is a legit threat, and for reasons surpassing all understanding, we brought another quality program (A&M, but don't tell them I said that) into the division. They all seem to be getting better, while we keep plodding along hoping for 10 wins--which doesn't buy you shite in the way of hardware these days.
Thank God Petrino isn't still at Arkansas. Things would be worse.
