CD is a range officer there.
Worked a shift yesterday!
Let me know if u ever wanna go during the week. I have access to the range any day that it's closed to the public and with my shift work schedule, I'm off on a lot of weekdays. If weekdays don't work, give me a heads up and I can get you a free pass for any weekend day.
Range is open to public on Friday afternoons, all day Saturday and all day Sunday.

So my two options are Honey Island and King Ranch's crib?

And Tallow Creek. What about Covey Rise, what do they have out there?

I wouldn't go back to Tallow if they were handing out $100 bills and blowjobs after each round was fired.
I don't know about Covey Rise, but will look into it.

Here's a few pics from Honey Island.
$6 per shooter, per day.
Shotgun line is an additional $3 per box of shells you wish to shoot.
Target frames are provided. Assorted targets available for $1 for 2.
Clays are included in the price of the shogun price.
100 yard rifle line:
25 yard pistol line (paper target and metal plate target options avail):
(at the end of the pistol line is a 25 yd rimfire range with reactionary varmint targets and target trees)
Shotgun line. 3 stations, each with 1 outgoing and 1 incoming thrower. 1 rabbit thrower.

I'd imagine there's got to be a range in the Hammond area somewhere but I'm not familiar with any.
There's an indoor range in Slidell also. (FITS Indoor Range)

Honey Island is nice. Seems to be very well run. I enjoy going however since I don't have a truck it's sometimes not so easily accessible.

What are my options for good gun ranges in SELA? Honey Island is a great place to shoot...
Both CDaniel and I are Range Officers...between the weekends when they are open and the possibility of going during the week when the range is closed with either CD or I, you've got some options...

the roads are well kept...even on the sloppiest of days I have seen small cars come and go from the parking lot...

Question: What is required at Honey Island? Can I bring my FIL from out of state? What would he need?
Posted on 9/21/14 at 8:16 pm to cdaniel76
There are a couple spots in the Houma area. I prefer Honey Island though. I've met some good people out there except one crabby gun range guy. That was last year though.

One wheel peeling and rolling coal in a slightly underpowered D-max?
