And stick with it? Are we going to continue to recruit elite skills guys and have them in the I?

WTF do we need a FB for in 2014? How can these young QBs get comfortable running so much different shite?

spread players and an I-formation scheme

that's what we run. it doesn't make any sense but les thinks a team full of spread players should pound the ball up the middle

we need to run spread pass/spread option and get our guys in space. it also helps qb's not great at reading defenses. gives them more room. stretches field vertically and horizontally. you can kill teams running out of 3 and 4 wides with basic plays sprwading out a defense. with motion. even without it see what meyer, mullen, malzahn do regardless and how they make it work and on and on and on.

Les will impose his will on offense no matter how the opponents D lines up against us. That's what Bo Schembechler aka Mr Excitement would want.

I said this last night.

If you have the beasts up on the OL, run that rock.

But there is a reason why these offenses go the way of the dinosaur. Bc now those DL are just as big and faster than before.

It's not because some offensive coach somewhere said "this triple option is so boring, I just want a more exciting offense". It's because these new age offenses can be the great equalizer.

It's time to get with the times if you don't have the personnel to run this offense. And these high school QBs today don't take as many snaps under center anymore. Quit trying to force these spread QBs were recruiting to play in a system they are not comfortable with.

How many fullbacks are there in the NFL? I would guess less than 10. The position is almost extinct. The game had changed. Unfortunately our coach's philosophy has not.

Supa, what's so hard to understand? Bring in O-line coach because of experience in spread offense. Lean out O-linemen to run the spread. Run the 22-set. Fail. Blame O-line coach.

Seems reasonable.

We already have an Offensive system. In fact it's the oldest Offensive system in the history of the game. It was developed long before the forward pass.
