If he had done something like steal more crab legs, or get involved in another assault case, maybe. In this situation, they probably think it's stupid he got in trouble at all.

People at FSU absolutely love being around Winston. Teammates will do anything for him. His coaches believe in him. That's true in both football and baseball. But just as many fans have had their allegiance tested through all of this, some inside the athletic department have had enough as well. They're tired of defending and excusing. They're frustrated that the guy who can be so likeable can turn around and be so unlikeable. And then be so likeable again.

This guy is a thug besides the rape accusations, he walked into a store stole items then said he forgot to pay. Right my bad liar.

He won them a national title last year. I think they would overwhelmingly be on his side.

Amazing what people that are good at sports can get away with.
Everybody looks the other way.

Being a good teammate goes a long ways in getting players and coaches on your side. Also being a heisman winning quarterback helps. I think the players are on his side. And to add that I think it's stupid his draft stock is all of a sudden going down. Why wasn't it like this in december? Cam had the same issues Winston is going through. As long as he can commit to not breaking the law he'll be fine.

I read what he said and I was like, is that it?

I realize that he's under a microscope but again, was expecting far worse based on how the media were playing it up. Maybe it's me being in a military work envionment, but what he said was nothing IMO, certainly nothing to get suspended over.

Why would they be like "frick this guy?" Without him their national championships hopes are nil.
