depends on who is releasing it, and how badly it fricks goodell
espn is dependent on the NFL, so yeah you may be right...if it means goodell is nailed and he has to go, they'd release it on Monday...more time for the exposure. and frick goodell if he's a goner.

Also, if it was big news, and a random internet poster on TD knew about it, then signficantly more connected media types like Glazer would know about it as well and would have already said something.

Saints fans excluded, the reason people hate Goodell is because he's suspending players for big hits, and changing the rules on hitting QBs, and "turning the NFL into flag football"

Exactly, especially not something that would be super damaging to their cash cow.
ESPN waits for others to report something, then reports the story as their own with "their own sources" "independantly confirming".
They've been caught doing this for years and continue to do so.
TMZ or Glazer or Deadspin will report something really damaging first.
