What I know I don't like for sure about the Norris Ferry side of the world is the lack of restaurants and such. I love Wind Rush but you can only eat there so often. I do know I loathe the fact that the biggest shitball loser developer in N. La. since Harold Rosbottom got put in the pokey is putting in a non residential shopping area. God I dread the thought of dollar general but he will probably go away on federal charges like some others in his family.

I'm proud to say yes, Loyola is another one of my personal hates. Loyola has turned into the replacement for Southfield folks to send their over privileged cork soaker kids. God I hate them.

Yeah you couldn't sell me a house cheap enough in Spring Lake. Encircled by the ghetto- perfect place for an upscale (at the time) neighborhood..
This is just retarded. Other than one block that backs up to a ghetto the nearest one isn't for a couple miles. Good try though.

When you come out on Dumbarton and take a right towards E.70th, it's pretty much all ghetto. The take a right on E. 70th back towards Creswell.... Ghetto again. Maybe it's only 2 sides, but nonetheless. I don't want to have to worry about the stuff I leave on my back patio overnight, that it might not be there in the morning.

was there the other day, somebody is building a huge monstrosity off 70th just east of Gilbert I think, just west of the fire station?
Posted on 9/17/14 at 10:33 pm to 777Tiger
Across the street from the fire station? That's where the much anticipated Whole Foods is going. I think that's the only new development over there.
ETA: Or are you talking about that house? If so, yeah it's a monster. Hope they laid out a good drainage plan. That lot is so low, it's going to flood every time.

There's only one place to live in Shreveport. That's South Highlands. All you South Shreveport posers don't know what the hell you are talking about.

What are the boundaries of South Highlands? Also, what is North Highlands like these days? Has it transitioned? Haven't driven through it in years.

Anyone who is concerned about getting their belongings stolen out of Springlake or South Highlands sounds poor. Please move to 12 Oaks, Haven, etc.

What's the market like for these homes? Good place to buy? I feel like it's not what it used to be. Not as many people wanting to be out there. Am I correct?
South Highlands> everywhere else in Ratchet City

There are still parts of S. Highlands that are really nice areas, but it's definitely not what it used to be. Same can be said about Broadmoor-that's where I grew up.

IMO, in the next 10 years or so, s. highlands will start to see a decline in price. There will always be a few nice streets and areas of it but as a whole, it has already started changing.

Yeah- I hope you're wrong, but I'm betting you're right. Broadmoor and S. Highlands are slowly but surely going to go the way of Highland- a nice block/street backing up to ghetto street. It sucks because all those houses are solid, well built homes, but there are too many rental units that the landlords/tenants don't keep up very well, and it ends up bringing down the whole neighborhood.
