I find it strange that you would be a disciple for a man whose foreign policy views are so different from yours.

I don't see white voters voting en bloc, do you?

Evidently, whatever you are thinking is good for black people isn't happening because it has been 50 years since you guys sold out to the liberal white peoples PATTING YOU ON THE HEAD, and everything is far worse now than it was in the 1960's.

Pro abortion should stop any black christian from voting democratic, then the Democrats would have to move their position to anti abortion.

I will never understand how a christian can vote for a party that murders babies.

Incorrect. I really don't think y'all hang around enough southern older white men. Except on the coast/offshore boat companies, middle Louisiana is iron workers and plant jobs and welders, or union jobs, i.e. democrats, like my father who will die a democrat. So to say we all vote republican you are very wrong there's plenty of democrats cuz that's what their fathers were and the unions, when they actually stood for something, are.

La. Alabama and Miss. are the only three States where 80% or more of whites voted for a Republican in the last presidential election. Overall, Obama won more than 30% of the Southern white vote in 2012. LINK

quote:

Cohn notes that “white Southerners have been voting Republican for decades,” but asserts that “the hugeness of the gap [in 2012] was new.” Oddly, though, there is no indication anywhere in the 1,000-word piece of how many white Southerners voted Republican in 2012 or in any previous election.

Reputable surveys such as the American National Election Study and the Cooperative Campaign Analysis Project suggest that Barack Obama won 30 to 35 percent of Southern white votes in 2012. That would be roughly consistent with the performance of Democratic candidates in recent presidential elections — and roughly five times the share of the African American vote won by Mitt Romney.

The claim that “Southern whites’ loyalty to Republicans is nearing that of blacks to Democrats” is the subhead on Cohn’s piece in the print edition and the headline on The Upshot, the Times’ new “news, analysis, and graphics” site. However, even allowing for the natural tendency of writers and headline-writers to strain for newsworthiness, this is an egregious overstatement of what Cohn actually shows.

That's the folks that bothered to vote. Romney was turrible as a conservative option.

A lot of blacks that don't vote (outside of Obama elections) will be fair game in 2016.

Sharpton said Rand Paul's strategy is for blacks not to come out and vote against him. Sharpton is a fricking dumbass.

Actually, I thought it pretty good analysis. Sharpton know that blacks is ain't voting Republican, so the only thing that matters is turn-out. Since there probably won't be a "first black" President on the ballot, they are worried about turnout. Now, since Rand don't look like that "Evil" boogie man, they've got their work cut-out for them in digging the dirt up, and selling it...

Subtract women and gays and you get Southern white men voting Romney 95%.
