I am confident that healthy Jimmy Graham would get the better of Sherman today.

It wasn't just Sherman, they gave him linebackers underneath and safety help over the top. We couldn't block their 4 lineman...which you said

I'm liking that he's been in on several blocking plays, and he's done well on that so far these first 2 games.

He's been definitely a better blocker. As of right now, he's the undisputed #1 TE in the league.

That's why when they were making cuts, I honestly thought they might have cut Watson and made Hill learn how to block as well.

That may be on the plate for next year. This year it was probably to close of a call to make. You always want good backups - if they did what you suggested they would have still been hunting for a backup TE.

My only negative with Graham is that he is a horrible blocker. When he is in the defense knows it's an obvious pass play or the rusher has the advantage if he's blocking. I think Brees took a sack off a bad Graham Block against the Falcons and maybe the Browns!

You must have not watched these two games, he's made a BIG improvement on blocking compared to before.

Did some of you not see Brees getting hit as he threw it? That's what caused it to sail imo.

I'm shocked at how many people are ignoring this fact. I didn't see it at first. But the replay clearly shows Brees taking a hit before the ball left his hand.

He should have caught Brees's pick six. I've seen him make way tougher catches than that which is why Bree's threw it in such tight coverage.

He was open but Brees got hit. He wasn't trying to sail the ball

Agreed but was still catchable by Jimmy's standards

Graham's been joking in interviews about how everyone's been bashing his blocking.

...He said that the injury really limited him last season (as some of us know), and he says he's a good blocker...He's showing it so far through 2

Freak catches are a norm, but he's not going to catch them every time. Those kind of misses are adjustments that players can't always change since it happens so fast.

Not to place blame cause the throw was high too.

But I agree here. It's a catch he should make.

Very catchable ball being paid 10m a year.

Like Meachum dropping the back shoulder.

No it wasn't. If it's made it's a how the hell did he grab that catch. Those aren't the responsibility of the receiver.

Again... no, just no. Ball was very high and was rushed due to the pressure.

Nothing like that. That ball was perfect and any NFL vet WR should make that catch.

And a 10 million dollar receiver should make that catch because it went through BOTH his hands.

And a 10 million dollar receiver should make the "how the hell did he grab that catch" catch's.

They are the responsibility of a 10 million dollar receiver if it goes through BOTH hands.

Exactly like that!!
That's my point!!
A vet WR should make that catch!!

That's the funny part.

Then I stand corrected. Under the impression his contract was 4 yr 40m.
