Jennings could throw for 300 Saturday. MS St DBs are suspect.

These stats might not mean everything, but it's more than clear that the defense is pretty good

I don't care who you play two straight shutouts is impressive.

I don't care who you play holding a team under 100 yards is impressive.

We have a good defense, and it has the potential to be great and one of the best in the country.

Especially one as solid as ULM

For sure.

It's very early in the season so the ranking may not be indicative of the full year...BUT...considering many teams have played a similar schedule and aren't ranked this high, I believe speaks highly of the team's defensive strength.

It's going to take a creative OC to exploit this defense. If our offense can win the time of possession battle, we should be in good shape.

I meant this year jack arse, that's just not in the game plan. Im just showing their qb isnt some shite player.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we throw for 300 ish this weekend. MSU's opponents have thrown for far more than their average against MSU, with UAB throwing for well over 400 yards. Hell, USM damn near put 300 yds in the air on em.

It's hilarious that people think we're gonna rush 52 times and throw 20 times every game, because that's what we did against ULM.

We are going to lose if we don't wrap up and tackle, protect the QB, and able to average 4 yds a carry.

So true. People have to set up the narrative beforehand so they have something to piss and moan about if we don't win 66-0.

Most teams in the country have played rent a win teams as well.. Some have a marquee game on there schedule, but we still have one of the best wins so far this season over Wisconsin.

Agreed. Played contenders on all three levels: Big Ten; FCS and Sunbelt. ULM would probably give Vandy a game, if not defeat them outright. SHSU put up video game numbers against FCS powerhouse Eastern Washington which lost in the final seconds to Washington. There are definitely different levels of cupcakes.

Most people's complaints are fairly specific and not a slam dunk of the entire team.
My only concern continues to be the offensive line. Hopefully, they will fix whatever is ailing them at the present.
Everything else looks pretty damn good!!

You're retarded if you think Anthony Jennings will never throw for 283 yards in a game in his career at LSU.

He's gonne do it this weekend.

It is tough to shut somebody out no matter who the opponent is. Even tougher two games in a row. And remember....the starters were not int the game much of the second half. Usually a weaker opponent can get some kind of a score in that situation.

Believe That! I haven't seen State play, but I expect you will again see the WR show Sat. if they are allowing those big numbers. Defense will stifle, and then Diarse, TQ, Dupre, and Dural will show out. Oh, I forgot to mention the stable of horses behind Jennings. If we get good protection and blocking, and accurate passing it's gonna get sick.

Great numbers on defense so far. Agreed our two cupcakes are better than most and Wisconsin may win their conference. This weekend will be a good test for them and if we slow Auburn down on the plains...well enough said. Yes I remember 2010 at Auburn and our D stats before that game.
