Minn Kota without question. MG can't even hold a finger to the durability of Minn Kotas. Get the iPilot. The differences between the saltwater and the freshwater version are negligible. Just spray the connections and you'll be good.
eta: 24V 70lb is what you need to be looking into.

If I am correct with my research I can get the MK Riptide SP/ST and then later purchase iPilot for it? And the main difference between the SP/ST is that the ST has a few more features?

I think you can add the i-pilot at a later time.
I also think you can buy the copilot instead of the i-pilot and hook that up to a compatible GPS unit, to save a few bucks.

Rip tide salt water and 10 pounds more than you think you need.

Auto-pilot or iPilot?
Either way, congrats. Now you need to get you a foot control.

Neither, I got the CoPilot model. I will probably eventually purchase add-on kit to make it AutoPilot/iPilot when I save some dough.
The CoPilot uses a remote control (see below) that is on a lanyard around your neck.
