I can validate that the ULL student section chanted negative LSU (go to hell Lsu, frick Lsu, etc.) after they beat SDSU in the first New Orleans bowl that ULL went to.
I went with my cousin who was a ULL student at the time and wore ULL colors so I wasn't flaming or anything.

I don't know why we get worked up about ULL, especially now that they have had a little more success in sports, like winning the New Orleans Bowl and almost making it to Omaha this year. It's nice to see little brother finally doing something well.
I won't even mind if ULL beats us at something meaningful one day. Will be kind of like Dottie letting Kit beat her that one time.

First play of the New Orleans Bowl against SDSU, ULL offensive lineman CLEARLY jumps, stands up, and the ULL fans boo'd the officials for calling it. I mean, in football, how much more glaringly obvious does it need to be?
I don't want to trash ULL fans, we were cheering for them, but, DAMN people. It's like the officials were supposed to ignore it or something?

Maybe so... but heres a different view:
When we rotate McNeese, ULM, La Tech, etc, every 3 or 4 years, they take their check for $900,000 and thank us for what a wonderful experience they had, what a great atmosphere, etc, etc. They lose with class.
Different story with UL-L-Breaux Bridge. The "we gonna beat yall, rip you a new arse" maniacs come out from under their rock - and then the Laffy paper claims the day after the 52-3 blowout that it was a "moral" victory cause ULL kicked a 4th quarter field goal.
Just take your $900,000 check, say thanks and go the frick home!
