My company has some offices in the LA area.

Beauna Park
South Gate
Riverside
Rancho Cucamonga
Pomona

Of these what would be a good area to live in for a commute to each place? Single male most likely finding roommates.

You can't afford a place on your own in L.A? You poor.

I wouldn't want to live around any of those areas as a recent grad. Not exactly exciting spots.

What are you looking to do out here and how close do you want to be to L.A.? Are the offices in those particlular cities and how do you feel about commuting? I would not commute to/from Riverside, Rancho or Pomona. I would not live in Buena Park or Southgate, but they would be easier commutes from L.A.

Pomona is in Orange County and that can be a bitch of a commute if you don't live in that area.

There are some nicer areas in Long Beach that might be worth giving a look. Wouldn't be too bad of a drive to either Buena Park or South Gate

These two are basically barrios, so you should cross them off your list.

Of the places you mentioned, I would pick Rancho Cucamonga.

However, like some have said I would try to go to the westside. Culver City is becoming the type of young urban town with access to nightlife, restaurants, etc. You might find something in that area that would fit your budget.
