I have zero doubt he is the longest hitting 3 year old in the country. His putting is terrible though, just like his dad. How have you been bro?

He's learning from the best.

We need to get together in Houston or LA for a round. If you come here, we can probably convince Ryno to play if it's out at Sienna.

Was just over there for the LSU / Wisc game but it was a quick trip. Would like to play on those new greens at Sienna...although I still have a ton of passes to Wildcat and Blackhorse! You need to road trip over for the bama game.

LPGA is playing the Senator course at Capitol Hill. Last year I was driving into that place to play the Judge. I saw all those big arse hills and said "F that!" I think Bama said he played it.

Back in my first tour of duty. I don't think I could break 110 when I played it.

It was brutal. Our first round of our 3 day (2x rounds a day) RTJ trip. Narrow fairways, tall mounds covered in foot high Open Championship-like rough, and a metric frick ton of bunkers.

I lost about 100 balls, but I found 200 in the tall rough.

Oh, and we walked it.

That's awesome. Even small tournaments like that are a big get.

I really wanna go volunteer down at Country Club of Jackson for the PGA tournament in November, but I'll be out of town (interviewing in Denver at Cherry Hills ).

What a Swamp here this weekend. Rained hard All week. Absolutely pouring this morning. Would r too much water hurt the new greens at this stage bama?

When did they sprig?

It won't hurt it with too much water. It will just be missing the sunlight that comes with no rain. Courses can control water, you can't always control how much light you get. Especially with bermuda. Bermuda hates shade. Loves light.

Give me another week and I'll tell you exactly how much light you need to successfully establish a 'Champion' bermudagrass putting green. The objective of my research.

Cool. I believe they Sprigged roughly 5 weeks ago or so. The plan is to reopen on nov. 4.

We have had lots of sun up until this past week.

I had to have some new grass laid on my side yard and a couple other spots after patio construction was done. I think those new squares are floating

They should be good then.

Did they cut down any trees around the greens? Or were most of them pretty open since it was bermudagrass before?

The private course I played Sunday in Tuscaloosa is going from bentgrass to Champion next summer. They are going to have to slaughter some trees around those greens or they'll never make it. The superintendent is gonna have some pissed off members.

Honestly, the superintendent needs to present my research to his board to convince them to cut down some trees.
