Leonard Fournette Looked better last night

I thought he made better decisions last night. He is fast, but he is not that quick when trying to change directions, and he is very powerful. so when he gets the ball, he just needs run down hill, get it and goooo. I thought he did this better last night. He is a really good receiver out of the backfield too. He is gonna be an all timer, he just needs a little adjustment to the college game and i am already seeing improvement. He had a nice kick return last night too. Hes gonna take one to the house next week against those cow tippin frickers!!!

i'm just upset that magee looks to have gotten so big that he lost his "luster" from last year.
I thought he'd be the best

He's got to learn to stick his foot in the ground, make one cut, and get up field. The 3 best RBs in the Les Miles era (Hill, Ridley, Hester) all had that in common. This isn't HS where you can round-off cuts and just kind of glide through holes.

What are you talking about? He is very quick when changing directions. Go watch the highlights from last weeks game. His second long run he just runs around a guy to break open

Dudes know everything up in here! I mean everything, and have never played a single down of football. "Well what he needs to do is"...just shut up, please just shut up!

At this point LSU does not have a speed back. Fornette is powerful and has good top speed, but he's not quick at this point, neither in his decisions or his footwork. Hilliard is the closest thing we have to a back that is "quick" which is saying something based on his tentative performances in previous years.
It's looking like having a back like Guice coming in next year will be more of a necessity than a luxury.

Leonard just needs to do what he's been doing his entire football career and he'll be fine. Everyone belived he was going to look like Adrian Peterson whipping arse with a branch from day one. In time his talents will mesh with expectations.

I agree, OP. Except for the part about Leonard not having lateral quickness.
Every game, he's going to get better, culminating in winning the natty in his final game as a Tiger.

Fournette looks better every game and that's going to be huge for our team.
Once he gets some more experience and improves his vision, we are going to be a scary offense

except for the 24 yard run for a TD (which was nice), LF had 9 rushes for 28 yards against a crappy opponent. Yes, I know you can't discount the long run, but you have to pay attention to the larger sample size of the rest of his carries.
He's good, but nothing special at this point. With his performance so far, if he was a 3* recruit, he wouldn't be getting any special attention from the Rant.

Our RB are notorious for having a great one year and then dropping off the next

LF looks like a beast.
Idk what the naysayers are watching.
