Greg Norman does a lot of the same things I would do with a $300MM net worth. He has a yacht, his own wine, houses around the world, and a clothing line. Using my own chain saw at the age of 59 is not one of those things.

More info:

Norman said Sunday that he was cutting trees at his home in Florida when the weight of a branch caught the chainsaw and cut his hand just below the wrist.
Via the AP:
“Thank God the blade wasn’t running full speed or it would have taken my hand off,” Norman said. “I handled everything as calmly as I could. There is no major damage. There is nerve damage, but no muscular damage. They fixed me up and here I am.”

He'll have to put Nitro on a shelf for a while.
Gives new meaning to left hand low if it had been lopped off baws.

his crib is on Jupiter Island and he and Tiger are probably considered the poor kids on that block, certainly the nouveau riche, pretty swanky area, when I lived there he had an eighty foot custom yacht, that he designed, among other toys, nine hole course on his grounds, a 737,.... used to see him in town in Jupiter hanging out at a bar across the street from his office knocking back a pint, he was always very cool in there, almost like hanging out in the neighborhood bar

The frick is wrong with people? 59, rich cant use a chainsaw? Jesus. I'm assuming no one making comments like this are men. People do things because they want to do them not because they can afford not to.

I thought he lived on jupiter island. I know Nicklaus and some other older high end attorneys live off PGA by US 1. Yeah, him, Tiger and Rod Stewart are new money on jupiter island.

holy shite.
I'm not really "into" golf, but Greg Norman is one of the names that you just KNOW as one of the greats. But seriously...only 2 majors? I'll admit my ignorance on the subject..but why is he such a legend if he's only won 2 majors?

kind of like the Dale Earnhart Jr./Danica Patrick of golf, famous for blowing some big leads in big tournaments too

Years ago, my uncle cut off his leg above the knee with a chainsaw when he was rebuilding his camp's pier after it got damaged by Hurricane Camille. He was a fireman, so he couldn't be a fireman anymore.

First Australian major winner. He was always near the top of leader boards. And he has pretty famous choke jobs in majors.

Aside from several horrific chokes in big moments and getting beat by miraculous shots by some people in some tourneys and majors, his claim to fame is he was ranked number 1 in the world for like 5 years straight in the 80s and 90s. IIRC Tiger broke his consecutive weeks at number 1 streak.
