I'm glad you allowed me to deconstruct your views. Most people disappear at a certain point on here. I too think everything's probably going to be okay. My main focus in these discussions is the bullshite coming from both sides. Neither side has any scientific merit, and are both obsessed with denying things we now know about human nature. "Some people are born gay" is equally as retarded as "God hates figs."

When things get to complicated and mired in detail I tend to revert back to what is easiest and most logical. In this case it's, adult people want to commit to one another just like I have done. Regardless of my personal feeling about homosexuality, Why is that a problem for me? Its not, so I couldn't rationally be against it.
When the choice is more freedom or less freedom I generally side with "more freedom".

It's not. But passing it into law creates something larger than you, something that will shape our human path of civilization.

In that vein, I would agree to a system where we clearly codified marriage as "two and only two consenting adults." As long as we came to some cultural understanding that homosexuality is a human behavior like any other, that genetics are not the end-all be-all. Because if we believe the unscientific lie that it's purely genetic, we can justify any behavior. The highly lambasted slippery slope argument is real.
