Can a creep be prosecuted for creating a false profile on match dot com ?

Some time back a good friend discovered a bogus profile, using her personal information, on match. I'm pretty sure the site could back-track and identify the culprits IP add. but, would there be any legal issues for the jackass that did this ?

Dude it takes a desperate friend zoned puss puss to try and play Internet tough guy just to try and bang a girl who is so uninterested in you she's dating strangers online instead of giving you a shot. Grow a pair and tell your friend if she doesn't want people creating fake profiles she should quit posting pictures of her self in the scissor gang mafia sporting a duck face.

could be seen as an online stalking or cyberbully charge. But if he used a public IP he wouldn't be easy to find.

Depends on severity.
