It's about avoiding violence, controlling rage, and knowing when to end a relationship - and both men and women need to hear it.

This. And making society more aware of the problem.

Equal rights for all people would be a good way to acomplish this.

What rights do men have that women don't?

Men shouldn't hit women unless the woman attacks the man first and actually poses a legitimate threat.

There's really not a discussion to be had on this topic. There are laws for domestic violence. Society does not condone any sort of domestic violence. But it will still happen because people get in arguments and lose their temper. Some sick people crave the power it makes them feel they have..similar to child molesters.

As far as Ray Rice goes, I think how the media has blown it out of proportion is ridiculous. IMO it's a personal matter and what he did was wrong, but she still married him and he has no record of repeated abuse. So it seems to me like he just overreacted one time, they managed to work it out and are happy together. So the media should just drop it

My .02..Women do not know when to shut up.

When guys argue, they know there are certain lines they can't cross, certain places they can't go, because, if they do, there are going to be punches thrown. Women go there, thinking the guy won't do anything about it, or sometimes, hoping he will, knowing she can lord it over him afterwards.

Your horrendous grammar aside, I reject the very premise of this question. Now I have determined you are stupid, in only 3 posts, congratulations.

This is the only statement that you have ever made on this site that was correct and that I agree with.

I completely agree with the OP and I appreciate the honest comments that were made in this thread regarding female on male domestic violence.

BTW, I had a good friend who was from the Philippines and one day he told me his wife always beat him.

He said it was very common in the Philippines for women to beat their husbands because the men are smaller there and the men are ashamed to say anything about it.

He said that it is one of the biggest secrets about Philippine women.
