The hero that the party needs, but the hero that party rejects.

He's the party's Bruce Wayne. Literally. He's worth just as much.

“I've already spoken out why I think it's the right thing to do to recognize same-sex marriage. But these things don't happen overnight. It's step-by-step and it's an evolution that, in this case, is taking us somewhere.”
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.

He's a little late. Nobody gives a shite any more but the hard core bible thumpers. Fastest cultural shift in US history.

So...if something is inevitable, people who wish to stop it/delay it should just give up?

I wonder if he applies the same logic to climate change?

With a ONE party system in this country, I have to agree that it is inevitable. Sure miss the good ole days.

Sorry for going off topic, but I will say that Huntsman would have handled this Middle East crisis beautifully.

Frankly I am amazed that gay marriage is not legal in every state yet.

An Obama appointee thinks like Obama? Shocked.

It will for sure be Mississippi that legalizes it last. Whenever the 49th state legalizes it, Mississippi will be 20 years behind them.

Huntsman is a sell out. He governed conservatively in Utah and lost in mind running for president in 2012.

Huntsman didn't exactly go out on a limb there. Of course gay marriage is inevitable in every state. Thanks Captain Obvious for that nugget of insight.

Inevitability does not mean it's advisable or preferable. Duke is inevitably good at basketball but it still makes Jesus sad.

When are we going to do something about this gay privilege?

I mean, a gay guy could walk into a gay bar in arse - less chaps and feel right at home. As a straight man, I would feel very uncomfortable at a gay bar wearing arse - less chaps.

This is the kind of soft bigotry that goes unnoticed in our society.
