It is not apologist to say "let's not go kill all the Muslims because we're pissed off." And as for saying murderous ideologies "often" or "usually" arise I'm poor places where people are ignorant and helpless, how is that not true? Despite the wealth of SOME Arab lands, most of the Muslim world is shite. The shittiness of a country is a condition that allows the murderous ideology to gestate and flourish.

Eta: also thr guy was just calling for peace, which is one of the things one can do after being attacked.

Straw man. He didn't have to say either extreme.

I didn't say it wasn't true. It doesn't explain all madness. This was the aftermath of a specific tragedy. When a family member is murdered, you don't explain it away in socioeconomic and political terms. That's entirely inappropriate.

It contributes. Again, beside the point.

"Breitbart".

Don't worry about freedom of the press, even if you disagree with the content. Obama/Democrat Party and the State have full compliance of the IRS to attack any American citizen/company that disagrees with the State's political philosophy.

Look, many people try to be bigger and more circumspect than just massaging the obvious impulse. What should he have said, that Islam is to blame? That they hate our freedom? What do you want him to say? We must go find these terrorist killers and obliterate them? Why not say it all?

No.

No.

Whatever he feels. It appears to me since he said this in the immediate aftermath, that he felt some degree of sympathy for the attackers.

I'm not demanding he say anything else. Other points of view are good, bad, and crazy. He could've said any of them.

Why not say it all?
I believe he did.

While I will agree that they have an agenda, can we agree that Obama actually said what was quoted?

I did see that. I didn't find it outrageous or anything, though. Just kinda...squishy...and generally weak.

Like last night's speech. Like his Presidency.

It is in perfect alignment with his foreign policy decisions and worldview. I don't like it, but it doesn't "shock" me or anything. I've known he sucks for a long time.

i can go along with that. Just a general bleeding heart mindset. We can test this though, right? I'd like to see if he's ever made those same kind of squishy remarks after a non-Muslim (and non-black) attack.

To the Obama haters - resist your complusion to feel bad by delving into every word of every speech that he makes.

I've got news for you - you are the victims. You are the pussies. You are the ones who are over-sensitive and you are the ones who cannot control your hatred. It is controlling you. Obama is not affected by your hatred. He is oblivious to it, but you are the one who suffers.

Get over it and move on. I've voted Republican before and will probably do it again in 2016 if Hillary is the Democrat running. Obama only has 2 years to go. Surely if some of you are as tough as you pretend, then you can endure him for that relative short period of time without pissing your panties every time he makes a speech.
