First off, objectivity is a human impossibility. Second, you cannot really review just yet. Thirdly, he's getting run down bc he isnt running full speed. He is running a little hesitantly due to inexperience. He simply needs to watch film and listen to the veterans and coaches. He'll be fine

LINK

This article says he runs a 4.35. It does not say if it is hand or laser timed.

He punishes the first guy that he gets to. I think we will see more plays designed to get him the ball in the open field as our quality of opponent strengthens. We have not seen all he has yet.

He runs a 10.68 100 meters. frick a 40, that's insane. He can outrun any DB.

if he works on just getting north/south and gets a bit lower behind his pads he will dish out so much punishment they won't want to tackle him in the 4th qtr

Thanks Hangit. At least you can provide some info here. albeit BleacherReport info but I won't hold that against you. If he is legit 4.35 then hopefully he has just been holding back for the better competition.

Hand.

Or he's as fast as Chris Johnson at 230 lbs as an 18 year old.

he doesn't run a 4.35...that's what his 100m translates too but 100m allows for much more top end speed. it takes at least 10-15 yards to hit top speed so in a 40 yard dash, 4.35 is very unlikely.

eta: still fast as shite though

So you read this board and thought we needed another critique of LF?

Okay.

My GOD! He's only played in two games and there are other running backs that deserve to play, as well. Who knows what "stats" he might have that would meet the "hype" if he were the only player who was given the ball. However, given the talent on this team, that's illogical.

Why anybody would buy into "hype" is ridiculous in the first place. LF is an excellent football player. Some of you act as though he should play like Superman and be impossible to tackle!

2 games, and the kid is 18 years old.

Your post is bad, and you should feel bad for it.

People act like AP had 1000 yards after his first 2 games in college. He had 217 rushing yards against Bowling Green and Houston. He was also fed the ball 43 times. That's about 5.5 yards per carry.

LF averaged 5.2 yards in his first two games.

Interesting. I wish I had done that math a week ago on the SEC Rant

However, people comparing this kid to one of the all time great RBs to ever play the game of football, not to mention, one of the biggest physical freaks to ever play the game, is just ridiculous.

I am, and always have been, hoping for Jeremy Hill 2.0. That would make me very content and proud of the young man.

Don't you just love these guys that trumpeted LF as the best RB in LSU history, before he played a single down in college.

And now that his first couple games have been just ok, they scream "it's too early to judge!"

Be consistent, my friends.

nope BUT AP did! that's all I was saying kid

AP carried the ball 16 and 25 times his first two games. In case you are keeping up, Fournette has carried the ball 21 times total. His YPC is 5.2, that includes the Wisconsin game. AP's was 5.8 after 2 games. The only back Peterson was splitting carries with was Kejuan Jones. So far Fournette has split carries with 4 RBs, two being seniors.

The talent is there. He is the most talented HS running back to come out of college since Peterson. The last two games don't change anything.

Let's "objectively compare" AD and LF in their first two games:

AD: 234 Total Yards (Bowling Green and Houston..both at home)

LF: 281 Total Yards (Wisconsin "Neutral site" and SHSU "Home")

This is stupid. Take kick returns out of it.

Their YPC is similar. And lets stop comparing him to anyone.
