all-time Rant fail is "Peterson is too heavy to play corner"
Nah, that's just #3 on Rant fails. The top 2 are: Trindon Holliday should play defensive end, and (not realizing that Kelvin Sheppard was also #11) why is Ryan Perrilloux playing linebacker?!?!

LF. (6'1" 230)- 6 returns for 139 - 23 yd ave
Cecil (5'10 205) - 5 returns for 119 -23 yd ave
They're the same style runners. Guys who are fast, large and hard to bring down.

Because he's the 2nd fastest person on the team.

Nothing against LF, but I'd like to see what Adams can do. It seems that we've lately had better results on returns when we've used a defensive back. Seems like it's more up their ally, like returning an interception. Plus, they seem to naturally go all out from the beginning, which is important because it keeps the coverage team from converging, rather than starting slower, waiting for a hole to develop that never will. Plus DB's are just a little more reckless, which you need in a return guy. I think Jamal has got some honeybadger in him.

If you believe that Les Miles does anything "to make people happy", then you are not very bright.

The same reason Todd Gurley is returning kicks.
Lets do what GA does?

He is one of the shifty players on our team. He is one of the fastest. We have two rbs with more experience than LF. I dont see the problem
Hopefully we will see some shiftiness on KO soon. So far it has been full steam ahead with not shiftiness on Kick offs.

Because he wants to and he's 230 who runs a 4.3 40.
No way he runs 4.3

So true! Some fool the other day alleged he didn't run as hard as Hilliard or Williams. I swear people see what they want to see.

Because rbs are taught to be slow to fast through. Which means slow to the line and let the hole develop then fast through it. You dont want rbs sprinting straight into your line.
These knuckleheads don't know a WR on a fly pattern is obviously going to be faster that a RB running through 8-9 men and avoiding or running through contact. For those who know what they are looking at, LF looks plenty fast. Those are people trying to find a fault.
LF has looked to me to be everything he was alleged to be. I see the special talent he is and don't understand why others can't. Did anybody notice him break the DB's ankles? Or the multiple guys he has trucked? Or that he always goes forward after contact? Or his great hands? Or that the other team seems to give him special attention? Once he settles in get ready for some special moments.

Wasn't that his only good return vs Wisky? Funny you all ignored his return to the 15 to start the game, where he practically stole the ball from Magee.

Cause he Can...and he is Not the starting Tailback at present

He honestly doesnt look very comfortable doing it. Get him in space as many times per game as possible please.
I agree. The kid, while he might get tackle after getting 5 yards, he "trucks" everyone in his way.

Cheap all-purpose yards to compete with Hershel Walker's record.

I can't help but think about how good Speedy Noil would be in the return game for this team. I am also not a big fan of LF being back there. Wasn't Chark suppose to be an elite guy in the return game? Isn't that why he earned his offer?

quote:yea because every 180 lb kick returner gets broken in half and is no good. i.e. Desmond Howard, Devin Hester, Michael "the beer man" Lewis, Deion sanders, etc.
dural is like 180 lbs soaking wet. we don't need him getting broken in half on a kick off return.

There are many more snaps on regular offensive plays, so I think he should focus on this area, where he can be most valuable to the team.
Someone please forward this to Les so he can learn how to get the most value out of his running backs.
LF is a BMF and will break several returns this year. Anytime he is on the field we are getting the most value we can out of him. He is built to run, trains to run, and WANTS to run - let's let that boy run!
