When I sold my flats boat, I was in the market for something small and low maintainence that would keep me on the water. I didn't want a "real" boat because my son is due any day now and I know the boat would sit up for at least the next 6 months. So, I bought a kayak. Nothing against kayak fishing, but I definitely don't use it as much as if I would have a motor on the back.
I knew of gheenoe, and I had seen some for sale around 5k, but didn't pull the trigger because I didn't feel like dealing with the maintainence. I kind of wish I would have gone that route now. A gheenoe with a casting platform/driving seat and a ipilot on the front and I could fish for days.

Find a used Gheenoe, sell that PA and damn near break even

Yeah, but then I'd have to face all the people who called me a dumbass for buying a $2600 kayak

Not really. I used to fish small ponds for bass but it's just not the same as Louisiana. It can't really fill the void. I do, however, enjoy knocking some brews back and watching LSU games

Touche, I have fly fished the hooch a few times, but that shite sucks or I suck at it, but i'm going with the river sucks and not me. I have yet to make it to any bars for LSU or Saints games.

They have a sweet arse l&b boat for sale on thehulltruth right now. It would be perfect for fishing the Bourg property.

For the price of one rigged out like that, I could buy another banshee extreme . But that does look like fun to fish solo. I'm saving up for a larger shallow draft bay boat. Going to hang on to the yak to mess around at the camp when I want to pond hop.

Those things are sweet, but I like getting up real high on a ladder so I would probably lose a good bit of stability.
Been watching videos all afternoon.
