Had a friend that was a stripper and made $$$$/night. She had a seizure and with the meds they put her own, she had to stop drinking. Now she barely makes anything stripping sober, and never takes customers back to the VIP rooms.

Did you quit?

I was drinking way too much. As surely is evidenced on this board by anyone who has read my posts

Give it time. It wasn't the alcohol that made you want to fillcthe void in your life. Your daddy probably hugged you too long or not enough.

People, especially women, don't realize jow bad their developmental years fricked them up.

Good luck though blame the alcohol if it makes you feel better. You should really get to the root of the problem before accusing innatimate objects.

I haven't, but am close to someone that has, and yes, it's a very common reaction. The alcohol deadens you to a lot of normal emotions. Once you are sober for a while, those emotions surface and feel much stronger, including guilt. I think it's a good thing.

It can drive some people back to drinking in an effort to deaden the feelings again. Hope you stay strong. If you do, I have a feeling things might change for the better in the long run.

I'm just curious what you do now that you haven't drank in 2+ months.

Have you started working out ?

You'll be amazed by the things you find out about yourself. I went 9 years once and went back out. Now, it's almost 19 years. Be patient and don't be so hard on yourself. You'll know who you may or may not want to give an apology in due time. Don't rush things and be good to yourself.

You should be proud of yourself, Paige.

Wow, self reflection in lieu of self absorption. Someone is growing up in front of our keyboards.

not enough

I'm not blaming the alcohol. I'm blaming myself and making myself feel really bad about me and I don't like it

But what are your hobbies or what do you do for fun when all you use to do was drink?

Hell your really not on here as much as you were when you drank

I did notice it looks like you are trying to learn how to cook which is a good thing to keep you occupied
