Best redfisherman I ever went with said,

"You gotta burn arse with dem spoons"

Translation- reel fast. Was his technique and it worked.

Capt Mike Hakala has the finest spoons around.....have used them all around Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana & Texas and have caught plenty of redfish in both clear and off colored water.......skinny to deep.

Plenty of times reeling fast paid off.

Did this guy do any "heat treating"

If so, I was with the guy that told you that when he was told that from an old salty coonass at the Boudreaux Canal Boat Launch...... oh the memories!
