I just feel like Maynard puts forth more effort in his side project than he does in Tool. He's just going through the motions with Tool, whereas APC, he is really going out there with it and pushing the envelope.

I really really really do not believe this. All of Tools songs are more thoughtful and deeper feeling. APC stuff is outstanding just not as deep.
It really says that he puts more effort into it that he doesn't even have stuff for Tool on Itunes or Google Play because he put so much effort into the albums and artwork.
Again, I'm not saying one is better than the other. Just that I prefer Tool songs over APC. However, I currently am listening to the "greatest hits" APC album on Play.
