thats the thing though

like 95% of the concerts I've been to in the last 5 years would cause me to get popped by the NFL's ridiculous threshold.

shite, there were even some olds toking up at the damn Beach Boys 50th anniversary concert I went to here in DFW.

Rice was grandfathered in bro

But if you're setting out a comparison and there is an update, you can't use the old penalty.

This isn't exactly truth for baseball:
Amphetamine usage = 0 games (years ago [now its 25 games])
Steroids = 50 games

the frick?

how is that remotely close? horribly comparison.

Rice suspension came weeks ago...new domestic violence came like 5 days ago. Totally unrelated.

Rice got 2 games. Fact is fact.

All of these "changes' came because of Goodell's own frick up. Another fact.

Irsay has been suspended for first six games

Seriously, what does that even mean? He's can't go to the games? Can't go to practice? Can't write a check for something? Can't talk to the GM?

Does this hurt the team at all? I thought it would be a fine and loss of a draft pick or something that means something.

It's always a troll from your perspective. Interesting:

quote:

Last season, Gordon led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards despite playing in just 14 games. He was suspended two games and docked four game checks last year for failing a drug test, at least his second violation of the policy. In that instance, he said he inadvertently ingested codeine contained in his prescribed cough syrup.

This time around, Gordon failed a marijuana test, according to sources close to the situation. The NFL does not release specifics of player violations under the substance-abuse policy, other than to announce penalties.

It's black and white man. This was his second failed test in the NFL.

Why are you arguing? One for codeine and one for weed

Don't you have to fail multiple drugs tests before you officially fail your first? I remember something like this happening when Fred Davis got in trouble.

So for those counting at home

Beat wife -- 2 games
Hookers and blow/DUI -- 6 games
Beat people, do drugs, drink, get stabbed, threaten to blow up an airport -- 9 games
smoke dope -- 365-day ban
And for those of us who don't count selectively, but rather count everything?

No I think the first one is just a fine. Second offense is four games and third is a full year.

Gordon already was in stage 2 when he got drafted, though, so his first failed test got him banned four games (reduced to two)

I've thought about that before too. Does he even have anything to do with the day to day running of the team?
