Sketchy, but we know for a fact he went to Harvard Law, and I doubt they would have accepted someone who had a giant gap in their college transcripts

Here's just one article which references how a law firm, working on behalf of Obama, has made efforts to keep obama's college records private. There are multiple other sources that have reported similar stories.

Of course, let's not let the facts get in the way, right?

Like I've said above, Obama clearly went to Columbia.

I dont think anything is clear about Obama's past. I think its clear that he MAY have went to Columbia.

What is clear is that Obama is a liar. I think he was fast-tracked by some very powerful people to power.

Why does he seem detached all the time? I think its because he is not the one pulling the strings.

So one lawyer spends an hour drafting a letter and a motion opposed to a crazy subpoena in a lawsuit that multiple courts later throw out (probably assigning legal costs to the plaintiff) and you think Obama spent millions keeping his educational records private?

I think his is entirely plausible. I doubt many would remember me from my LSU classes.

At this point, objectively it fuels skepticism that they think makes the right look kooky.

This. While there are legitimate questions about Obama's past, as long as they can't be answered with legit documentation/records it fortifies the left-wing narrative that right-wing Pubs are extreme racists.

Obama probably never went to Columbia
yeah, probably.

That's the most probable answer.

There is literally no way to respond to this except with satire.

Yes Hitler was known to be an aspiring artist and very anti social. He was denied admittance into art school and joined the military..his fellow soldiers are documented as saying he was reclusive and would sit in the corner alone and babble on about weird shite to himself.

At least we know he was actually in the military since, regardless of his antisocial ways and lack of friends, people remembered him being there.

Is there a male bathhouse in close proximity to Columbia? Perhaps someone there will recall seeing him.

Although Barack Obama may not have been particularly social or memorable during his years at Columbia, it isn't true that "no one ever came forward from Obama's past saying they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc." Those who have attested to having daily personal experience with him during his time at that school include:

Friend and roommate Sohale Siddiqi, whom the Associated Press located and interviewed in May 2008.

Roommate Phil Boerner, who provided his recollections of sharing a New York City apartment with classmate Barack Obama to the Columbia College Today alumni publication and the New York Times in early 2009.

Michael L. Baron, who taught the year-long honors seminar in American Foreign Policy that Barack Obama took during his senior year at Columbia and recalled in an NBC interview Obama's "easily acing" the class and receiving an A for his senior paper on the topic of nuclear negotiations with the Soviet Union.

Let's not forget that the Columbia campus is not a normal college campus: NYC is not a college town. It's not inconcievable that he didn't want to hang out with a bunch of prep school kids at the normal college bars when he could go to a communist bar or hang out in Harlem.

That being said, it is highly unusual for a the most powerful political figure in the world to be a wallflower. Especially for someone with so much apparent charisma and charm.

I don't hate anyone. In fact, I'm touting the gays ability to recall faces that straights seem to find so difficult to remember. If anything, I honor the gay with my post.

A year old article - nice trolling.

quote:

Likewise, other external evidence documents Barack Obama's presence at Columbia from 1981-83, including:
An article by Barack Obama published in the 10 March 1983 edition of Columbia's Sundial school magazine.
A January 2005 Columbia College Today profile of Barack Obama as a Columbia alumnus.
A Columbia College press release from November 2008 identifying him as "the first College alumnus to be elected President of the United States."
Finally, the fatal flaw in the "Obama didn't go to Columbia" theory is that he couldn't have been admitted to Harvard Law School in 1988 without having received an undergraduate degree. If he wasn't attending Columbia from 1981-83, he would have had to complete two full years' worth of coursework at (and graduate from) some other accredited college — yet his time between the end of his Columbia days in 1983 and his entering Harvard Law in 1988 is accounted for (working at the Business International Corporation and the New York Public Interest Research Group, then serving as director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago), and no other school claims him as an alumnus, nor does anyone purport to have encountered him as a classmate or student at any other college or university during that period.
