I was with a guy yesterday that showed me what one of those stump tails can do.
He related to me that when he was 15 years old, he went dove hunting with his Dad. He shot a dove and it fell near a barbed wire fence. He leaned thru the fence to pick up the dove and a cotton mouth bit him on the left shoulder about 3" from his neck. The guy is about 50 and he carries about a 3" bad looking scar.
A funny thing he said was after they treated him with antivenin, he could take a crap a quarter mile from his house and Dad could smell it on the porch! LOL
