That'll happen when you are getting held from behind.

LF was held badly as he was making his was through the line of scrimmage.

Letting players without helmets on because they're not even in the game jump onto the pile after the fumble isn't good refereeing either.

That was strange. If they want to complain though, then bitch at your coach for holding 3 time outs until under 2 minutes.

Following the Dickson fumble, 3rd and 7 play they hold Q Thomas and QB picks up 6. They get the fourth down conversion then punch it in one play later.

The linesman on LSU's sideline NEVER gave us a favorable spot. In fact, it seemed like he always spotted the ball a half yard behind where it should have been. These guys weren't giving us any favors.

Refs Maybe Paid Off-Mayb

If anything, wisky paid them off. A lot of pass interference that was never called.

It went both ways.

We had a 3rd down screen pass to Fournette that went incomplete because the Wiscy tackled him as the ball is in the air. No call. In the end, both teams got away with stuff. We stepped up when we needed to and Wisconsin didn't.

I yelled at the TV a few times where Wisky OL were holding our guys from sacking their QB. (no call!)

on the pics, Mills has his head turned and is making a play on the ball.

LSU had their guys covered like a blanket...

Any whining about refs is just butt hurt

That was a bad call, but it didn't cost them much time. It wasn't down to the 2-minute mark yet, so the clock would only have stopped until the ball was set and ready for play. Maybe 8-10 seconds ran off that shouldn't have, that's all.

No, it wasn't. The play started with over 2 minutes left. Clock should have stopped for a few seconds until ball was signaled ready for play. The call had very little, if any, impact on the outcome.

The biggest official screwup all night went against us on the first punt. And that wasn't even a judgement call, they just completely botched the mechanics of marking the spot and had to guess.

This was BADDDD. Instead of stopping the back judge the head ref just ran down the field while the back judge kept walking. The spot was off by at least 15-20 yards.

His forward progress was stopped in bounds. They made the right call.

I agree but it would not have made a difference

Actually it wasn't. The play was blown dead with just over 2 minutes left, and then the clock ran under 2 minutes while the play clock ran. Since there's no 2 minute warning, it kept running under the 2 minutes.

His last step or two going out of bounds was forward. The ref even hesitates a bit, then signals to run the clock. Like others have said, maybe only around a 10 second difference so it wouldn't have mattered with how the rest of the game played out. But that official seemed in way above his head all game.

The holding comment is hilarious since the next two plays after the clock one had a choke hold being put on our guy in the end zone

I think the Fournette no call was actually good but coming after all the other no calls or bad calls, it makes me not want to cut the officiating crew any slack. He definitely got tackled and you can't tell me the other player new where the ball was at the time. They could have called PI....there were grounds for it. Bottom line is that they were a weak crew but maybe they were the only ones available since most everyone opened the season this weekend.

That was a bad miss. Refereeing 101. Pretty easy to get a punt like that within 5 yards just by watching it closely. Maybe he was caught off guard because of the length and it was also a directional punt (meant to go OB).

I thought our guys adjusted well to how the game was being called. They were allowing holding and near the end I saw a few time where our guys got a few handfuls of red jerseys. But good for them...Wisconsin held a bunch and it didn't get called much.
