If Oregon was in the SEC.. They would be 8-4 every year...
They'd run through the east unscathed and lose 1 or 2 games in the west.

Day 4 now of his post-A&M win melt
Posted on 9/1/14 at 4:52 pm to fleaux
"Big 12 teams wouldn't know what to do vs an sec defense"
A&M then comes in and with the Oregon lite offense wreaks shiteup and then the next year both Mizzou and A&M put up large numbers.
Now this year, A&M looks great with their big 12 team.

Oregon is not a better program than LSU.
if you want people to agree with you, post this on the sec rant. this is not the sec rant.

Where do you get the 4-losses?
Lets take LSU's schedule for example:
You have 7 auto-wins...
Sam Houston - w
UL Monroe - w
New Mexico State - w
Moo State - w
Kentucky - w
Ole Miss - w
Arkansas - w
So then Oregon only has to win 2 more to get to 9 wins...
Alabama
TAMU
Auburn
Florida
I think Oregon could find 2 wins in that group.

I'm on a dominant SEC board. What makes you believe much I am trying to get people to agree with me?

You forgot wisky who IMO Oregon handles easily.

Trashing LSU is dumb. I have a lot of respect for the program and they have the National Championships that I would kill for.
The whole "Oregon loses the game they shouldn't" is dumb. It's college football. Probably half of the National Champions have 1 loss they shouldn't have had but got the breaks needed to get back in the top two come December. And for those of us not in the SEC, the breaks needed are near impossible to get with one loss.
The 2012 Oregon team was our best ever and had Maldonado not sucked arse at kicking and the Zach Ertz TD been properly ruled OB, it would've been us skullf'n Notre Dame, not Bama. Bama had a "shouldn't have lost" game that year too.

More BCS bowl appearances, more BCS bowl wins, and a higher win percentage over the last half decade than LSU. We have finished ranked ahead of you 5 of the last 6 years. Whether you think we are "pansy" or not doesn't matter. Those numbers are facts.
Ok, I'll play along since you love stats so much. Let's widen the time parameter 5 more years and narrow the BCS bowls to the National Championship game. Compute that and post your results.

We are the better program now.
Come back with that argument when Oregon starts putting multiple juniors in the NFL every year.
Oregon is and always will be a flash in the pan joke around here. That's just the way it is.
Now go splash on some patchouli oil, step outside and enjoy the rain. It's like a free bath for hippies.

Exactly! That is the entire point of this topic. Oregon gets over hyped every season for scoring 100 points per game on weak opponents. Then they lose a game and it all goes away until the cycle repeats the following season. Has anybody been paying attention???

That's right - Wisky. So out of the last 5 - Oregon only needs to win 2 to get to 9 wins.
Not too difficult.
Basically saying Oregon would only win 8 games in the SEC is like saying Oregon is crap.
Mississippi State got to 8 wins in 2012 and 7 wins in 2013...
Vanderbilt got to 7 wins in 2012....and 8 wins in 2013 (but only beat 4 SEC teams)
It's not too difficult with those OOC schedules.

Then don't do it.
I wasn't.
Just using their schedule because of Peej.

LSU lost to ole miss. Bama lost to Oklahoma and auburn. LSU lost to Alabama 21 - 0. But yeah, it is only Oregon who shits the bed.

How is Oregon a flash in the pan? They have finished ranked 8 of the last 9 years, 7 of those years being top 15, and 5 being top 5, and they show no signs of slowing down.
